Remodeling can be a fun and exciting project for those who have the know-how; but for those who only believe they have the smarts and skills, the job can turn out to be a disaster.  Most guys try to persuade their wives to just let them handle the small task of this project or that task. Most wives give a men that look that says, “We’ve been through this a thousand times.”  So whether you hire a professional or do-it-yourself, just consider these few things:

-Do I really possess the skills to do the job properly?

-Do I own the proper tools to make the job easy?

-Do I have the time the job will take to complete it and be happy with the end result?

-Will the money I spend for the professional save enough grief and tension to make it worthwhile?

-Will I get half way through the job and hire a pro to finish it anyway because I’ve made a complete mess?

If you answer these questions honestly and can still say, “I know I can do this,” go for it! You just might save yourself a few extra greenbacks!
